Americas pockets. It is a place to start…

In the aftermath of Ferguson it seems that maybe, just maybe, this time a mass majority of people are fed up with the laws injustices to racially tense situations. With petitions for laws such as “Mike Brown Law” requiring ALL police officers to wear cameras while on duty, & Obama looking into the police use of military weapons and equipment it seems as if some long term actions may be in place.
Still in the meantime how to we make sure these incidents are not forgotten?

First, DON’T STOP SPEAKING. This does not mean you have to post on twitter and Instagram all day with news updates and links and whatnot, but do not forget and do not stop talking. It doesn’t have to be an isolated incident but use your voice, aloud and online, to express that this issue does remain and we must do better.

Second, when we think of America, the government, and those who fund and capitalize of the society you know what matters most to all of them… Money. So the most effective way to show we are not just complaining, and we are not just going to forget we can hit them where it will hurt the most. Several organized monetary protests ideas are being passed around. Details after the jump

There is the September 8th “Black Out Monday” requesting all people fighting to right these police brutality injustices NOT spend ANY money in anything other than a BLACK owned business for 3 days. This is being spread internationally to show how powerful our voice is when it is equated to its dollar value.

Then there is the October 1st “Black Bank Run” asking everyone to withdraw their money and place it in a black owned bank. Granteed this is a tougher tasks as there are only 21 black owned banks in America. Still those who are capable of doing so should to once again show how strong the voice is when it knows its worth.

Then if we just in general make conscious decisions of where we shop and what companies we allow our dollars to support we can show how affective this method can be when businesses start suffering.

ALSO, there is an official boycott of gofundme.com, as they have allowed not one but two campaigns raising money for Darren Wilson for killing Mike Brown spreading hate messages and donating to "reward him for controlling the animals". Though the existence of this campaign is in violation of there terms and conditions they have announced they are deleting the offensive comments but NOT taking the campaigns down. Considering they have raised over 200k from 150,00 donations gofundme is set to make upwards of 20k off this campaign. So though they were confronted and allowed time to take the campaigns down they have no and so a boycott is ensuing. It is advised that anyone with a campaign see about transferring their funds to their bank account, or another funding site. We must show them how much our dollar is worth.
